About our name change
On October 29, 2009, the name of the Office of the Ombudsman
officially changed to the Office of the Ombudsperson. At the
same time, the name of the legislation that provides the legal
foundation for our office also changed and is now called the
Ombudsperson Act.
News releases, reports and other materials that were
published prior to our name change will continue to include the
name ombudsman, so you will see both terms here on our website.
As we need new materials, we will update them using our new
name.
